* If the soil depth is less than 200mm (~8”) obsidian-perlite is not required to provide positive ventilation under the soil.
* Wind-prone roofs must choose trees and shrubs that can withstand anticipated wind loads.  GR Support should be installed below the soil to secure root-balls to GR Drain 20 installed with systems GR-SW or GR-SWP.
*The above systems all require either maintenance Grade 3 or 4, please refer to the maintenance page for more details.
*It is recommended that buildups with deep soil depths of 200mm or more (~8") have obsidian-perlite added to the cups of GR Drain 20 to prevent GR Filter from being pushed into the cups and to promote positive aeration below the soil.
